As tournament systems move from qualifiers to Championships, we would like to take a quick moment to remind teams of the importance of Gracious Professionalism® -- especially at events. Gracious Professionalism is a fundamental aspect of FIRST® LEGO® League. We compete like crazy, but display good sportsmanship at all times. Try to keep Gracious Professionalism in mind as you interact with volunteers, spectators and other teams at events. Things sometimes do go wrong in the Judging areas and sometimes robots behave differently than they do at your meetings. If you can focus on the celebration of the season and not get too bogged down by what might not have gone perfectly, you will have a great experience at your event and embody Gracious Professionalism.   Holiday road The FIRST offices in Manchester, NH, USA, will be closed beginning at 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 25, for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. We think FIRST LEGO League teams might have an invention or two ready for primetime.  STEM in the news Do you cry at the end of Wall-E? Science has a reason why!  CELEBRATION AND SHOUT-OUTS Has your team hit a personal best score in the Robot Game?  Have you shared your Project solution with some folks who could benefit from it? Do you have a favorite  Core Value you have put into practice? We're not talking turkey. Those are some big-deal accomplishments. Shake a tail feather and be proud.   Special shout-out To Team 7635, the Robot Unicorns, who took an interesting (and maybe a little bit disgusting) field trip to a single-stream recycling plant in Lakeland, Florida. They saw in real life and learned firsthand how plastic bags can be a huge problem for recycling sorting machines -- just like in the Robot Game! Coincidence? We think not! Great job, Unicorns!
